Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been doing photography?

I got my first DSLR Camera in 2010 after saving up all of my money from my first job. I started taking photos of just about anyone that would stand in front of my camera. in 2012 I began second shooting for friends and photographers that I admired. once i became more confident of how weddings worked and grew my own skills I shot my first solo wedding in 2014. Since then, it has turned into my full time career and I’m so grateful to be able to pursue this passion of mine and have a job that (most of the time) doesn’t feel like work.

do you travel for weddings?

Yes I do! I absolutely love to travel and I’ve had so much fun travelling all over saskatchewan and even to other countries for weddings! My mileage charge for driving distances is $0.60/km. Overnight accommodations may be required. please inquire for a custom quote for destination weddings.

how far in advance do you book?

Summer weekends typically start booking up about 14-16 months in advance. my 2024 books open january 1st 2023.

When will we receive our photos?

My turn-around time for wedding galleries is 6-8 weeks. However you will receive a preview with at least 30 edited images within one week of the wedding. Smaller sessions are edited within 3-4 weeks.

Can we see a full wedding or portrait gallery?

Absolutely! If you already have your venue booked and are wanting to see a wedding that I've done at at that venue in the past so you can envision what your day might look like, then I'm happy to share one with you as well!

I don’t know how to pose in photos-help!

I have so many couples that go into their photoshoot worried about not knowing what to do because they either don't like photos or have never had professional photos taken. My preferred way of posing is through giving cues and having you move around a lot instead of standing in one stiff pose that feels (and looks) unnatural. It's my job to make you feel relaxed and make sure you get to have as much fun as possible during your photo shoot so that you feel like you can be your true self in the photos!

Will you help with our wedding timeline?

Definitely! I personally like to be apart of planning the timeline as much as possible! After photographing over 100 weddings, I know exactly how much time each portion of the wedding day should take to make sure you get all the photos you’re wanting. I love helping my couples make a timeline that fits their vision for the day because no two weddings are the same.

Can we meet you before our wedding?

I would love that! It's always so nice showing up on the wedding day not being a total stranger! I always love meeting over FaceTime or for coffee at the beginning of the booking progress as well as again a couple weeks before the wedding to go over final details.
